Private Boat Charter Terms & Conditions
In order to make the most of your private luxury boat charter hire, and to ensure an unforgettable experience for both you and your guests, please read the below information carefully. At Melbourne Boat Hire will strive for successful operations on all of our boat cruises and charters, and we will assume you understand, agree to adhere to, and comply with the following terms and conditions:
- All pricing excludes GST (Goods & Services Tax)
- A AUD $500 deposit required to confirm and secure your booking
- The remainder of the balance is due 7 days prior to cruise
- Payment can be made by direct debit to the nominated bank account. For credit card payments a 2.5% surcharge applies
- Any Food allergies of guests to be made known upon booking
- Maximum passengers of 35 onboard cannot be exceeded
- BYO (“Bring your own food and beverages”) surcharge of $200 applies
- No smoking is allowed on board
- Cancellation allowed up to 28 days prior but results in a loss of $500 deposit
- Cancellation within up to 14 days results in loss of 50% of the booking fee
- Cancellation within 7 days forfeits booking fee completely
- When booking online, date and time requires to be confirmed manually and cannot be guaranteed

Yes, we allow you to bring your own food and drinks onboard (BYO). We do have a $200 surcharge for this as we are a licensed premises.
Yes, decorations are allowed, however we only allow decorations to be installed with blu-tac or string. No sticky tape is allowed. We also do not allow confetti, confetti balloons, or sparklers.
Decorations can be installed 30 mins prior to the cruise – This is the boarding/setup time.
Yes, we have a SONOS sound system onboard. You can connect your phone to our system via our onboard wi-fi networks and airplay from music platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
Yes kids are allowed onboard, our boats are very safe and ideal for kids. When booking ensure to let us know the age of children and size so we can ensure that the correct fitting lifejackets are onboard to suit.

No, smoking or vaping is not allowed onboard our boats.
