Valentine’s Day is a wonderful time of the year for couples new and old. Every year we’ve found happy couples have joined us on our boats to as they share their love with each other. We love being a part of these journeys; we’ve even been privy to a few proposals, but not to worry if you’re not quite at that stage, we’ve put together a list to help you make this Valentine’s Day one you and your partner will never forget.
Make a plan
Start off by picking a date. Valentine’s Day is on a Thursday this year, while we are operating on this day, you might find that Friday, Saturday or Sunday might be a better-suited day for you to celebrate. This will definitely depend on what you and your partner prefers (some people live for the thrill of the surprise) alternatively, may want to postpone your Valentine’s Day celebrations for the following week so your day of love is just for the two of you and on a more convenient day.
Share a meal
Preparing your partner’s favourite meal could be great. But also, dinner out at a restaurant that you’ve been dying to try out could be just as special. Although, for a meal like no other, we have lunch and dinner options so you and your partner can wine and dine on our boats against the backdrop of the serene Melbourne city skyline for a meal you’ll never forget.
Give a gift
This doesn’t have to be jewellery! Remember that the best gifts are gifts from the heart. A scrapbook of all your favourite memories as a couple or a bouquet of their favourite flowers could be the perfect addition to a splendid evening adventure.
Revisit your best moments
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to come away and remember all the reasons why you love your partner so much and revisit all the wonderful memories that you’ve shared together. If your love bloomed as you dated at sights around the city talk to us and we can help you create a route that will allow you to return to those locations around the Yarra River.
Create new memories
Sometimes the most romantic thing you can do for someone is to be there with them in the moment completely. One way you could do this is by take time out on a romantic getaway and be at peace with each other and your environment, another way is to share an adrenaline rush and try something new together. Our boats can be self-driven without a licence or you can arrange for a personal driver to take you on your journey.
